In our times, the number of people displaced as a result of climate change, conflicts, or the need to seek livelihoods has reached a record high since World War II. Today, immigration is a source of intense controversy. Covering issues of migration and forced displacement is so challenging that journalists and media often hesitate to address these complex and delicate topics.
Migration is an emotional process. Many speak about documents, rentals, new products or places, and language, but few talk about the emotions and feelings that immigrants experience at each stage of adaptation. Through my work, I aimed to convey the sense of psychological reset, the nullification of familiar experiences and social roles. It is about the rebirth and transformation of a new personality in new living conditions.
