The images in my project "Our Roots" depict plants and their roots. Additionally, there is a plant that may completely lack a root system, and if roots are present, they do not participate in nutrition at all and serve only an anchoring function.
Our roots are a vast and multifaceted topic that can touch on various aspects: cultural, historical, familial, national, etc.
In the context of immigration, the topic of "roots" takes on special significance, as it involves preserving and transmitting cultural heritage in a new environment.
In my work, by drawing a parallel between plants and people, I wanted to convey that preserving roots during immigration not only helps people maintain their identity but also enriches the cultural diversity of the society in which they live.
I also aimed to emphasize the individuality and diversity of ways to adapt to new living conditions.
